About me
I am the Global Cultural Districts Network’s Special Projects Director and co-host of The Three Bells podcast, produced by AEA Consulting. I'm looking forward to speaking with people about GCDN's research projects, partnerships, the global co-commission, and our podcast.
My approach is informed by experience within city government where she served as Providence’s Director of Art, Culture and Tourism, working at the intersection of cultural planning and community development. Throughout my career, I've collaborated with local communities to co-create arts-based policies, programs, and partnerships that aim to strengthen neighborhoods, facilitate connections, and animate public spaces.
I am on a mission to inspire discovery, delight, and understanding by exploring the transformative power of arts and culture with communities. I work as a freelance consultant specializing in arts, culture, place and public engagement. https://culturalconstellations.com/
Always happy to talk about cultural planning and policy, civic participation, community-arts partnerships, public art, creative workforce development, cities, books, theater, travel, my love for Providence, Rhode Island - and especially our arts community, my 11-year old daughter (Gwen's the best), and the related experience of being a working parent.
